Make your Question as clear, to the point
and as brief as possible. Here are some ideas on how to
word your question:
We offer 11 different spreads! The price is the same for
all of them, regardless of how many cards are in each spread.
-
(3 cards) is a subset of the Celtic Cross that is
focused on resolving a problem, dilemma or issue about
which you could use some wise counsel. The kinds of problems
that logic can't handle like, "How do I relate to
my partner who just hung up on me?" or "What
is the best approach to take in this (confusing) situation
now?"
It is a fast way to use the cards to
derive insight into your situation with an emphasis
on what is happening now, what kind of possibilities
are inherent in the situation and what you should do...
or not do next. This is an action oriented spread that
helps you focus on the next steps to be taken.
-
(11 cards) The Celtic Cross Spread is a true emblem
of Tarot. It is generally regarded as a standard "consultation"
spread. This spread can give you valuable insight into
several areas of your life, and how those parts interact
within you. Because there are 11 positions in this spread,
it offers enough positions to represent relatively complex
situations.
Within the wheel-shaped part of the spread,
is a horizontal axis which represents the flow of outer
events from recent past, through the present, to the near
future. The other central axis arises out of one's personal
history, through the present moment, to focus on one's
mission or higher power. The self and the issues of the
moment are at the center of the spread. The column to
the right of the wheel is called the staff which can also
be thought of as a ladder. The ideas and advice in this
part lift one from the plane of dilemma to a higher plane
of resolution. Don't make the mistake of viewing the past
cards as irrelevant to the present or future. These cards
are there to remind you of things on which you may be
only now gaining some perspective.
-
(7 cards) The Septogram,
or Days of the Week Spread features a seven-pointed
star that revolves around the days of the week with
Sunday at the top. The positions are defined by
the ancient system where the days of the week are
named after the sun, moon, and the five visible
planets of the solar system. From antiquity all
western societies have observed these correspondences
with people tailoring their activities to be compatible
with their "ruler of the day". You can
align yourself with this unbroken tradition by being
mindful of each day's special qualities.
Throwing this spread as a weekly ritual
can provide you with a seven-day calendar of advice
on handling each day's challenges. It's a hundred
times more practical and customized than the version
we see in the daily newspaper.
-
(12 cards) This one takes its form from the natal chart
of astrology with one card for each "house"
or department of life. In its pure form, astrology aims
to illuminate your original or true nature with respect
to these 12 archetypal areas of human life. In the process
of adapting this spread for Tarot, emphasis is usually
placed upon the changes taking places in these different
departments, in contrast to natal astrology, each card
must be examined in the light of the process going on
in that "house" or department, implying change,
emotion, action, and discovery. So references to past,
future, and other people must be interpreted in the light
of how these energies are affecting the department of
your life right now. All departments are considered equally
important to begin with, emphasis is added by the presence
of major arcana in your spread or your own special interests
at that moment.
You can subdivide this spread into groups depending upon
the line of inquiry you are following.
- Houses 1, 5, 9, represent Fire: reflecting your desires,
ambitions, goals, willful passions.
- Houses 2, 6, 10, represent Earth: tangible realities
like your body, cash flow, results of effort and time,
the THINGS in your world.
- House 3, 7, 11, illuminate the realm of Air: communications,
the word (sword) of truth and the relationships in which
you unsheathe it.
- Houses 4, 8, 12, are Water Houses: feelings, intuitions,
sensibilities and emotions.
- Houses 1,4,7,10 describe your innovation, self starting
pioneering energy which have the courage to press for
change.
- Houses 2,5,8,11 together illustrate powers of stubbornness,
fidelity, endurance and farsightedness.
- Houses 3,6,9,12 point to areas in your life where
you are the most flexible, responsive and adaptive to
outer forces.
Taking the time to investigate this spread at this level
of depth will reveal amazing parallels between your inner
life, the events of your outer world and astrological transits
in your natal chart, giving you a great education in reading
the Tarot at multiple levels.
-
(9 cards) This spread leverages the number 9 which has
been considered lucky, blessed, or sacred in many cultures
east and west. From earliest times, philosophers have
been fascinated with its geometry, its internal grid.
This spread takes advantage of the properties of this
special number, providing you with the view of your past,
present, and future at three depths. The body (unconscious),
mind (personality ego), and soul (higher power). You can
see the flow of your issues moving through time and moving
through you. The cards are laid from top to bottom, moving
from the left side (past) to the right side (the future).
The card at the very center is an image of yourself as
you consult the Tarot.
-
(7 cards) The relationship spread has three sections.
The triangle on the left, represents you. The triangle
on the right represents the significant relationship.
The card in the middle is the advice card that forms a
bridge between the two. Use this spread when you are working
on issues of skillful relating.
-
(Finding Your Passion) (6 cards) This spread is useful
for issues related to personal vocation or career. You
do not have to know who you want to be when you grow up.
All you need is willingness to examine the ideas this
spread presents to you. To get the big picture, you could
use this spread multiple times in several months and average
out the results. Look for repeating cards which will provide
special clues.
-
(3 cards) This spread represents a back bone which links
you to the earth below and the sky above. It helps you
be here now. This is a nice one for using with your mediation,
because it is about self knowledge. Visualize the root
card as being in your gut providing you with a foundation
of strength and stability. The middle card symbolizes
your heart, with both its compassionate nature and native
intelligence. The Spirit position represents the view
from your third eye; imagination and spiritual clarity.
-
(6 cards) This one is used to examine conflict or polarities
in a situation, whether it's between two parties in a
relationship, companies participating in a business deal,
or an inner conflict between the two sides of your own
brain. The upright triangle represents the yang; active,
moving, external force in the situation, called the deciding
moment, right use of will and the natural consequence
of skillful decision making. The reversed triangle represents
the yin; more subtle, internal elements in the situation,
the subjective, emotional, psychic side, the right brain.
It's sometimes referred to as the Voice of Conscience.
It's the part that sponsors relationships that meet your
real needs, and hints at the most appropriate solutions
available.
-
(5 cards) This spread is designed for looking at the flow
of events. With cards for the historical and more recent
past, the present, and the future. In both close-focused
and more extended-outlook, you can track unfolding issues
and possible consequences over time. If you use this spread
every few days or so and keep a record in your journal;
within a few weeks, you and the Tarot will have established
a communication that allows you to see significant trends
entering and impacting your life. You will become more
familiar with how the cards portrait forces at work in
your life, and your interpretive ability will grow. Don't
get too psychological with this spread. The positions
are designed to signify events, not moods or motives.
The future cards are conditional on your own free will.
If you do nothing to change the flow, things may unfold
as you see them portrayed, but remember, there is never
a prediction you are helpless to influence.
-
(10 cards) This is another genuine artifact of Tarot,
derived from the Hebrew mysteries of the Kabala These
teachings are analogous to the seven chakra energy centers
arranged along the spinal column coordinating the organs
of the physical body to the energy body and higher frequencies.
In the Hebrew version, secondary channels exist to the
left and the right of the central spinal channel, made
up of the left eye/hand/foot centers. Because of these
"pillars" working as channels for expressing
the central energy, the number of vertical centers along
the spine are reduced to five.
Even if you don't feel comfortable with a certain card
in a certain position, there is some way in which the divine
will is working through that concept, and you need to try
and understand how it could be a good thing. When you use
this spread, focus on your most precious intentions, align
yourself for the greater good of all involved and see each
card as if it were a suggestion sent from your higher power.
Also remember that every card is read as it applies in the
now, even when past or future time frames are also implied.
This spread is not making any attempt to be predictive,
however you may be surprised at the correspondences you
may discover between the archetype and your daily life.
We have 3 different Tarot Decks to choose From. The interpretations
are the same no matter what deck you choose. We offer different
decks simply because some people have favorite decks. If you
are unfamiliar with Tarot, I suggest you choose the first
one: Rider-Waite.
Rider-Waite
is my favorite. I learned on this one, so it just feels good
to me. The colors are bright and easy to see.

Oswald Wirth seems like another colorful deck. I'm not familiar
with it, and it doesn't matter. The interpretations are the
same no matter which deck you choose. It really is just a
matter of personal taste.
This
deck is called Gran Tarot Esoterico. A nice deck with a few
variations in names to make things interesting. Again, choose
a deck that makes sense to you, if you don't know, then you
will receive your reading in Rider-Waite.
